BYD has introduced its electric SUV, ATTO 3, in Bangladesh with two variants: Standard Range (345 km) priced at Tk 4,990,000 and Extended Range (420 km) at Tk 5,590,000. This zero-emission SUV offers a sporty design, luxury features, and a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. BYD aims to promote green technology and has seen strong pre-booking interest from local SUV enthusiasts.
BYD Atto 3 latest update
- Latest Update: BYD has extended the introductory price of the base-spec variant of the Atto 3.
- Price: The Standard Range covers up to 345 km per charge and is priced at Tk 4,990,000, while the Extended Range goes up to 420 km at Tk 5,590,000
- Variant: It is now available in three variants: Dynamic, Premium, and Superior.
- Colour Options: The BYD Atto 3 is available in four monotone colours: Boulder Grey, Ski White, Surf Blue, and a new Cosmos Black.
- Boot Space: The electric SUV offers a boot space of 440 litres that can be expanded to 1,340 litres by tumbling down the second-row seats.
- Seating Capacity: It is offered in a 5-seater configuration.
Battery, Electric Motor and Range: The Atto 3 now gets an option between two battery packs:
- A 49.92 kWh battery pack that has an ARAI-claimed range of 468 km
- A 60.48 kWh battery pack that has an ARAI-claimed range of 521 km
- These battery packs power the same front-axle mounted electric motor producing 204 PS and 310 Nm.
Charging:
- An 80 kW DC Charger (for the 60.48 kWh battery): 50 minutes (0 to 80 percent)
- A 70 kW DC Charger (for the 49.92 kWh battery): 50 minutes (0 to 80 percent)
- A 7 kW AC Charger: 8 hours (49.92 kWh battery) and 9.5-10 hours (60 kWh battery)
Features: BYD has provided the Atto 3 with features such as a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 6-way powered driver seat. An 8-speaker sound system, wireless phone charger, auto AC, a panoramic sunroof and keyless entry.
Safety: It gets seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), hill descent control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages. It also has advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) features like forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, blind spot detection, auto emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
Rivals: The Atto 3 rivals the MG ZS EV while serving as a premium alternative to the Tata Curvv EV. It can also be considered an affordable alternative to the likes of the BYD Seal, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
